Where are you from, and how did you land in the Bay Area?

Answer: I was born in Southern California, but grew up in Shanghai, China. I moved to the Bay area after graduating from university, because I had friends who lived in the area.

Why did you decide to join the Dr. Treat team?

A: I was drawn to the practice because of its wonderful team and the opportunity to learn and become a well-rounded veterinarian.

Do you have any furry family members?

A: Currently, I do not, but I did grow up with a golden retriever whom I will always hold close to my heart.

Can you tell us about your human family members?

A: My parents still reside in Shanghai, but they do their best to visit me and my brother, who lives in New York City.

What is your favorite food?

A: Hotpot! It always reminds me of home and is a fun activity to share with friends.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

A: I enjoy cooking, trying new restaurants, hiking, and playing sports with friends.

Do you have any special talents?

A: I can move my ears and juggle.

What is your favorite travel destination or somewhere you would like to go?

A: One day, I hope to visit Switzerland.

What would you like to accomplish in the next five years (personally and professionally)?

A: Personally, I want to take my parents on a nice trip with my own money. Professionally, I want to provide the best care possible as a general practitioner and be skilled in every area, from diagnostics to surgery.

What is your biggest fear?

A: I cannot watch a horror movie without screaming and feeling as if I’ve run a marathon. My friends say that my screaming always makes the horror movie scarier.

What is your favorite binge-worthy television show or Netflix series?

A: My top recommendations would include “The Crown,” “Workin’ Moms,” “All of Us Are Dead,” and “Sex Education.”

How do you decompress and relax after a long day?

A: I like to eat a nice dinner followed by a hot shower.

Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?

A: I am slightly more introverted than extroverted. Hanging out with people is always fun, but I am also perfectly content to entertain myself at home.

What is something about you that would surprise people?

A: That I am an introvert.

Where is your favorite place to spend a Saturday evening?

A: Hanging out with friends and playing board games or watching TV.

What do you never leave home without?

A: I always bring a bag—even if it’s only a short trip to the post office.
